Q. What is the Relationship Studio?
A. The Relationship Studio is a space created by therapist, Michele O'Mara, for lesbians - of all makes and models - with the goal of encouraging your spirit, educating your mind, and strengthening your connections with other women.
Q. What can the Relationship Studio do?
A. The Relationship Studio is the answer to these following questions frequently asked of Michele over the years:
"Where can I go to learn how to be better in my relationships?"
"Where can I find other lesbians who are _____________(fill in the blank with whatever you are looking for) that I can meet?"
"Am I going to be single forever?"
Specifically, the Relationship Studio is set up to help with the following:
improve your relationship skills
experience personal growth
make new friends with other single or partnered women
meet new women with the possibility of finding your life-mate
help you learn how to get "love" right next time
Q. What can I expect at the studio events?
A. Currently, the Relationship Studio is offering two separate "studio series" for lesbians. The first is for single lesbians (attendance suggests that your dating status is "single" - but it does not require that you are personally ready, or interested in dating yet as this is also a good way of creating new friendships). The Studio Series is designed to increase the possibilities of connecting with someone you can build a friendship, or more, with. The series is focused on providing concrete and helpful information about improving relationships, a place to feel comfortable socializing with other women, and a structure to help even the shyest of the shy to interact comfortably with other women
The second series is for lesbian couples. This series also provides an hour of education and an hour of casual, but structured, discussion following the lecture. This is a great way to surround your relationship with other couples who are interested in healthy relationships!
Q. What if I don't have a paypal account to pre-register online?
A. You can also register by phone (with a credit card) through Michele O'Mara's office at 317.517.0065.
Q. What if I pay to attend but can't make it for one reason or another?
A. We will be broken hearted if you have to break your date with us! The success of the Relationship Studio depends on attendance, so we ask that you give or sell your registration to another single lesbian in the age-range of your selected class. No refunds are given. If you don't know anyone, you can post a message on mutualfriends.org, a free indianapolis-based friendship connection service (if you are not a member, it's free to join - go to www.mutualfriends.org), announcing that you have a ticket to give away (you might just make a new friend by doing so!).
Q. What kind of people can I expect to find at these events?
A. The Studio Series is for women who lead busy lives, who don't have easy access to venues to meet other women (or perhaps don't like the alternative places to meet women), or simply wish to gain new skills to improve their relationship abilities. All types of women are welcome. You can expect to find single women only at the Single's events and partnered women only at the couple's events.
Q. What if I purchase a Studio Package as a single person and become unavailable (partnered) before the series is up?
A. Well this is a mighty good problem to have, now isn't it? The Studio Series includes an 8-week series for couples to enrich their relationships and develop healthy friendships with other couples. Your unused portion of the studio package is transferable to the Couples Series (which you can attend together with your partner, or alone). To make this change, simply contact Michele O'Mara by phone or email and explain your situation.
